Aster Eye - An Immersive Virtual Wildlife experience
Mobile iOs Application Design. Prototype designed in Figma.
What is Aster Eye?
It's a real-time Zoo or Aquarium Visit app, that can be viewed on a web browser, tv or mobile.
The application takes the viewers to the Zoo or Aquarium via a virtual screen, no matter where they are, and be able to co-live with animals.
Allows the viewers to explore wildlife, appreciate nature, make animal friends, favourite animals and be able to check up and grow with them through the app.
An “Animalwikitopia” to learn more about different animals, endangered species, and their history, species and lifestyle. Animal 3d models to interact.
Audience:
Educators, Children, Hobbyists or the General Public that wants to visit the zoo, aquarium for hobby, educational, meditate or other purposes.
The Brainstorm and Design Process
Information Architecture Map, User Flow Design, Sketches, Low-Fi and Hi-Fi of the Prototype Design.
I interviewed college students and adults. And asked them their experience with in-person Zoo
/ Aquarium Visits. Who they went with, reason they went and how long they spend time there.
"Can you describe your experience when you went to the Zoo / Aquarium?"
"If you have an option to visit the Zoo / Aquarium, will you do an in-person visit use the app to do a virtual-visit? (without the Covid scenario / with the Covid scenario)"
"If you were to learn about an animal, where would you go? (which browser or mobile)"
The problem
We tend to go to the Zoo with family, friends, dates but never by ourselves, it is a social event.
As technology rises, less and less people are going to Zoos, Aquariums, usually a few years once or a school trip, but most of them have a good experience through it. (path-leading)
People who visit zoos are usually visiting with younger brothers and sisters, for educational purposes and a fun activity. Transportation was also a difficulty.
Not many people read the signs and information of the animal during in-person visits of Zoos / Aquarium.
Many personas between age 20-30 has a long daily usage on desktop and mobile, over 6-8 hrs a day.

The solution
Creating Aster eye, a real-time Zoo / Aquarium Visit application, that can be viewed on a web browser, tv or mobile.
The application takes the viewers to the Zoo / Aquarium via a virtual screen, no matter where they are, and be able to co-live with animals.
Allows the viewers to explore wildlife, appreciate nature, make animal friends, favourite animals and be able to check up / grow with them through the app.
